My most recent knitting project!

Other than the large number of unfinished knitted projects floating around my house, which I hear is a common occurrence with knitters, the most recent knitted project that I finished only a month or two ago was a sweater for my friend's chihuahua. We recently adopted our chihuahua, Inuk, from friend of mine. She still has another chihuahua, Cashmere, and she LOVES to dress him. Personally, I can't bring myself to do it, but she wanted a sweater for him in case he had to go outside in the cold winter months. So, I knit her one! This was a crowning achievement for me - I was finally able to get the mattress stitch on the seams to look half decent!

As you can see, Inuk wasn't all that thrilled to be the model!

I was also surprised at how FAST I knit this up! I did the whole thing in one afternoon, when normally it should have taken me at least a full day. Now Cashmere can go outside in the winter!

  1. OMGoodness!! This made me laugh so hard -- SO glad I didn't have a mouth full of water (or it surely would have exited by way of my nose!!)... Inuk may not have a future modeling career!! :) The sweater is beautiful, and I'm glad your friend's Cashmere will be able to enjoy the snow now :)
